Among the Trees, 2022
A flag depicts Carl Phillips's essay "Among the Trees" translated into Trees, Katie Holten’s bespoke font.
The forest and essay also appear in Holten's book The Language of Trees (Tin House, April 2023).
The flag was commissioned as part of the group exhibition Forest through the Trees at Laumeier Sculpture Park, St. Louis, August 27 - December 11, 2022.
